This is quite the blast from the past! I know it was released in February 2011, but following up from my weekly Chinese album reviews, I felt the need to mention Show and his 8th Album.

The title song 獨一無二 or Only You is seriously the hero track out of the ENTIRE album! It is mindblowingly epic:

This is one of my favourite C-Pop MVs. Apparently the video costs around NT$5 million for the "Anti-Gravity filming technique" that was featured from the second verse onwards. The way that it is directed is very clever and the choreography is just superb. This enclosed MV is the Japanese version of the song, sorry but it's close to impossible to find it in Chinese!

I'd like to call the rest of the album "filler music":music that takes up space in the album that all sound the same with almost no melody. However, tracks 5 and 9 impress me, so they are excused.

8 of the 10 songs became music videos for the album, which has been released in 5 different versions.

It is said that Show Luo's first Japanese EP "Dante" is set for release on 15 Feb 2012. Let's just hope that he will be just as successful in Japan!

Haha just casually writing from the grave... blah well I just NEED to talk about the amount of peroxide that's used on these boys. Wae everyone blonde? I can't tell who is who and there is a guy with BRILLIANT vocals that I need to claim before my friend says she wants to marry him!

This MV is seriously Daebak. Better than a lot of stuff out there. There is just perfect chemistry between the smooth vocals and rapping in this song. I love how their image is completely different to Boyfriend or B1A4. They actually SOUND like men without the disgusting high pitched yelping. Plus their dancing is so effing epic. I request a dance version!

On another note, Zelo is a '96-er. I bet all the pedonoonas out there are watching him fufufu

PLUS he is 182cm tall. So he is cute AND tall eh?...

The rest of B.A.P's first single album is excellent. It is actually really good stuff that is well produced and genuinely sounds nice. It is well balanced with the "Warrior" theme at the intro, and slowly progressing to songs that have a slower tempo that shows their soft and mature side. I particularly love the third track Unbreakable. I think it's rather hilarious that they are under the same company as Secret, but I hope that they do more collaborations, especially with Song Ji Eun.  

Honestly, they all look like clones of each other. But hopefully in time with different hair styles, concepts and albums, we'll be able to tell them apart and see more sides of these boys.

ANNOUNCEMENT

I have once again added another page at the top bar, this time titled "30 Day Song Challenge". If you haven't heard of it, it is simply naming a song a day that fits a certain criteria like a song that makes you happy, or a song that makes you sleepy. I have tried my best to use K-Pop songs, but there are times where I have cheated and used J-Pop songs, so forgive me.

Please take some time going through it and perhaps you might find a song that you like from my selection.

I have also decided to post concept photos on the blog so for the next few days, Confessions in the Cube would be covered in photos from comebacks within the past to 3 months. It just seems wierd to post something that is over a year old or something haha I hope you enjoy them!
